Why did you become a hairstylist?
Having had a different career before becoming a hairstylist, I realized that I wanted a creative outlet to help others feel good, feel beautiful - A way to help create a look that helped them feel like themselves - feel heard. Through continuous education, even becoming an educator, it feels invigorating when I see the joy in my clients with their hair we have created. As a third generation hairstylist, I find all things hair fascinating. Throughout history hair has played a big part of what’s going on and tells a story.

What inspires you?
So much inspires me daily. In nature, music, art, I see all sorts of shapes and vibrancy that make me want to create. History is filled with so much inspiration from all over the world. Centuries, decades and modern times. I love looking at various hair textures, working to create a flattering look for my client, whether you have curly hair straight hair, fine hair and so on. With color, I approach very similarly. I’m looking at how are you going to be wearing or styling your hair. If we’re adding dimension or pops of vivid color, how will this look, how will this grow out etc.

When life gets stressful our bodies, our SCALPS, can truly suffer. Any gender, age, hair loss can be a major result. I specialize in scalp and hair loss treatments. In times like these I’m hearing more often of the concern of hair loss.

A product you can’t live without?
